MUSIC
One of the core pillars of a musical is, of course, music.
The music for L’Manberg the Musical is made just as everything else is- collaboratively.
OUR PROCESS
Our team of musicians are each given a number of song demos- written and performed by Ian Has Opinions (Director and Project Head) and Moderately Mediocre (Music Director)- with which each musician will then use their own keen composing and recording skills to bring to life the instrumentals and vocal arrangements used in the musical itself.
The instrumentals and vocal arrangements that our musicians create are then recorded in the voices of our voice actors and then mixed by the musician themself or one of our audio mixers and mastered by João Lucas Martins (Audio Director) for use in the musical and for release on music distribution platforms.
ABOUT OUR TEAM
Our musician team is composed of talented individuals from all around the world, each with different composing styles, DAWs (Digital Audio Workspaces), and musical backgrounds.
This means we have a variety of styles that our music is rendered into, from digital to acoustic, synth pop to choral to folk, rock opera to classical broadway musical style.
These different styles are decided on and created in collaboration with the Production staff to allow as much interpretation and freedom as possible balanced with the high quality of the overall story.
Our songs are then mixed and mastered by our team of audio engenieers, who do everything from audio clean-up, touch-up to volume and add special effects like reverb, delays, distortions and other fun things in order to bring the most life into the songs and performances.
